vsftpd (Very Secure File Transport Protocol Daemon) adalah FTP server cepat dan aman di sistem Unix/Linux. FTP biasanya dipakai untuk mentransfer file dari sebuah host ke host lainnya melalui TCP. Pada artikel ini kami akan memberikan tutorial cara menginstal dan konfigurasi vsftpd di linux CentOS 6.0/6.1/6.2/6.3/6.4/6.5.

Instal vsftpd Server di CentOS 6

Jalankan perintah berikut di terminal untuk menginstal paket vsftpd.

Start service vsftpd

Jalankan vsftpd pada system boot.

Konfigurasi vsftpd

Sekarang edit file /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf

Hapus tanda komentar dan edit baris pada file vsftpd.conf yang diberi tanda bold/lebih tebal.

# with the listen_ipv6 directive.
# This directive enables listening on IPv6 sockets. To listen on IPv4 and IPv6
# sockets, you must run two copies of vsftpd with two configuration files.
# Make sure, that one of the listen options is commented !!

Lalu restart service vsftpd dan coba untuk koneksi ke ftp server.

Membuat User FTP

Defaultnya, user root tidak diperbolehkan login ke ftp server untuk alasan keamanan. Sehingga kita perlu membuat user baru bernama misalnya “rasho” dengan password “lintut”.

Koneksi ke FTP Server

Contoh outputnya:

Login failed.

Mungkin Anda akan menemukan error seperti “500 OOPS: cannot change directory”. Ini karena SELinux Anda membatasi user yang login ke FTP server. Jadi mari kita update nilai boolean SELinux untuk service FTP.

Sekarang coba lagi login ke FTP server.

331 Please specify the password.
230 Login successful.
Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.

Koneksi ke FTP Server Menggunakan FileZilla

Download dan instal software FileZilla. Buka aplikasinya dan masukkan username serta password yang sebelumnya sudah dibuat lalu klik connect.
